Béziers – Historical centre (place du forum)
Perle, Déborah and Eric welcome visitors in the heart of the historical center of Béziers.
Want to find out about the heritage of Béziers ? Need some shopping tips ? Do you want to take a stroll in the town or plan your week in the region ?
If you’re with your family, friends or your loved one, or on a solo adventure, they will answer all your questions and give you a warm welcome:
Nine locks of Fonséranes – Rue du Canal royal (Nine locks of fonséranes, Canal du Midi)
Melaine, Isabelle and Brigitte know everything about the Canal du Midi, its history and operation. “How does a lock work, where can we have a picnic, I’d really like to take a barge or ride alongside the Canal by bike! What else is there to do near the Canal?” These are all subjects that our Canal du Midi experts can help you out with!
Les Orpellières visitor centre – Chemin de mer et soleil
Get a warm welcome from Karen in the brand new Visitor Centre, deep in the Orpellières nature reserve at the mouth of the Orb. Soak up the site in all its fragile wonder and learn about protected plant and animal species with the help of educational murals, videos, classes and events.
Zoe, Patricia and Karen are our “seagulls”, lucky people who work beside the sea! And they’re best placed to give you information about it. Water sports, concerts, leisure activities, the beach and taking it easy – they’ll give you all the very best tips. They’ll also let you know about everything to be found near our beaches: museums, wineries, hiking or cycling trails, and lots of other surprises!
Have you ever come across a floating Tourist Office ? In Villeneuve-lès-Béziers you’ll get on board on Karine’s boat! She’ll welcome you in the Gabare Pescaluna.
Whether you want to continue on alongside the Canal or explore other great sights, Karine can tell you about all the best spots, and also share her passion for photography – and maybe let you know about some of the lesser known panoramas…
