The Plateau des poètes, Béziers’ green lung

Béziers has plenty of perfect spots for picnics with family, friends, couples or even on your own!

Among them, the Plateau des Poètes is a must-see park in the city centre. Near the Allées Paul Riquet, you can sit by the water to watch the ducks and swans, or on the grass. All you have to do is pack your sandwiches and go for it!

The Garden of the Villa Antonina, an elegant atmosphere

Staying in the centre of Béziers, the garden of the Villa Antonine is a tree-lined little corner of paradise. The building (former home of Béziers sculptor Injalbert), with its English-style garden, could be the inspiration for a picnic or brunch!

The Plantade Garden and the Cordier Mills

Running alongside the River Orb, the Plantade garden and the Cordier mills form a pleasant, shady setting, ideal for a picnic. A number of benches have been set up throughout the garden so you can sit back and watch your children play in the play area.

Head for the Maison Batelière! It’s a green space on the Quai Port Neuf, where the canal du Midi passes and where it’s pleasant to relax.

A few tables and benches have been set up so that everyone can enjoy a good picnic in this magnificent spot. Whether you’re a yachtsman or just passing through, you’re sure to have a great time!

The sea air, perfect for lunch

Parc de la prade, Sérignan

Full steam ahead for Sérignan! On the outskirts of the town, the Parc de la Prade is the perfect place for a picnic – especially for families with children!

The playground, with its many picnic tables and benches, offers a wide choice of places to set up. All you have to do is prepare your meal, and off you go!

Les Orpellières, a natural site

En route to Les Orpellières, this site has become a must-see for visitors to Sérignan-Plage in recent years.

As well as the activities organised on site, such as beach relaxation workshops and photo-flora walks that punctuate the summer days, its beaches are the perfect place to come for a rest and a picnic.

It’s also possible to picnic on the Orb side of the river, for a more intimate setting!

The Valros Tower, a welcoming fortress

This former fortress has been transformed into a practical, open-access site on the heights of Valros. Tables and benches have been set up at the Tour de Valros, so that everyone can enjoy a relaxing drink on these grounds.

Access for wheelchair users (or those with pushchairs) is facilitated by a concrete walkway.

The traverse at Alignan-du-vent: taking in the view from above
