CIRCUIT “TRENCAVEL – BÉZIERS MÉDIÉVAL”

Medieval Béziers: Raimond Roger Trencavel was Viscount of Ambialet, Béziers, Carcassonne and Razès. During the Albigensian crusade (1208-1229) he refused to hand over the heretics to the crusaders, and is thus considered a hero. He was, however, one of the first victims of this crusade.
