The Site House was built on the exact location of the former Orpellières farm, a winegrowing estate that was in operation until the second half of the 20th century. It houses the interpretation centre, the educational and cultural component of the project.

It proposes:

a permanent exhibition, “the life and work of time at the Orpellières”, on the history of the site, its wine-growing past, the functioning of the wetland, the evolution of the Orb, the environmental riches (fauna, flora…), the effects of climate change.
a temporary exhibition space,
a Scenovision
the national education resource centre (educational space dedicated to pupils, see “Schoolchildren”);
access to the belvedere and the observatory.
