It winds around a central core (the Tower) and a ring of tall, narrow houses (now called "Rue de la ville"), which opens through two doors

An outer ring, with a public square (Place du Plô), was created as early as the 15th century. Six access passages can still be seen in the current town planning of the village

The Tower, central element of the circulation, is a vestige of the "Castrum Alignano". This ancient keep, built in the 12th century in the centre of the town, had a double function: watch and protection of the inhabitants. It was a salt granary in the 17th century and then a clock tower since the 19th century.
